The VFRC offers a limited amount of Newborn Starter Kits to families that may need extra help getting ready for their new baby's arrival. These starter kits contain basic necessities for the new mother and baby such as diapers, wipes, diaper cream, receiving blankets, sleepers, nipple cream and more. Priority will given to mothers-to be in their third trimester of pregnancy or with newborn babies up to 6 weeks of age.
Staff will review the nomination and contact the new mom.

Baby Play/
Grow, Baby, Grow
A program for care-givers and their babies 0-18 months. Join us for friendship and BABIES, lots of babies! This program runs weekly from September-June in 2 locations. Though this program is for babies up to 18 months, we can accommodate an older sibling up to 24 months, if you have two under two.
Grow, Baby, Grow is brand new! Once monthly, you will have the option to weigh and measure your baby and track his/her growth in a memory booklet. Registering for Baby Play will automatically register you for Grow, Baby, Grow.
Where? Woodstock @ Main Centre110 Richmond Street, WoodstockGiving birth is HARD!! We've hired certified personal trainer, Nicole Manuel, to help you new mamas get active again, strengthen your core, and to show you how it can be done WITH your baby. *Recommended age for baby: 0-12 months*
A fun & interactive 10 week program for you and your baby (up to 9 months). You can expect songs, stories, finger plays, infant CPR, and guest speakers. It's a great way to meet other moms and support each other in the journey of parenting.
A fun 5 week program for you and your baby (up to a year old). This program will teach you the strokes to massage your baby, all the while building connection and strengthening your bond.
This is a program for 4 year-olds who will be starting kindergarten the the Fall of 2025. There are 10 fun-filled sessions that promote early literacy, social interaction, cooperation skills, fine and gross motor skills.

* July & August: Playgroup moves OUTSIDE to Connell Park in Woodstock | Tuesdays 9:30-11:30 *Come join the fun as we journey into stories, old and new, with lots of hands-on participation in the story telling, plus crafts and surprises! It'll be an hour well spent with your 3-5 year old!
Jumping Beans is a high energy & active program for kids 0-6 yrs. There are bouncy houses, plasma cars, climbing structures, a huge area for babies to play and tons more! This is offered at the Wesleyan Church in Jacksonville (340 Lockhart Mill Road) and allows for LOTS of free play, as well as music & dance.
Please bring a snack.

Spring has sprung and soon the bugs will too! Join us for a fun evening as we learn to make our own bug lotion the whole family can use. We will also be making lip balm with sun protection and an extra surprise to help you relax and sleep better.
